Election Update: Berks County completes canvass, results have been updated

From County of Berks

Nov 18, 2020

Berks County’s unofficial election results now include the provisional and military/overseas votes.  You can view the updated reports and results here:  https://www.co.berks.pa.us/Dept/Elections/Pages/ElectionResults(ElectionNightResults).aspx

These results can be viewed by race, grand total report, precinct report and a voter turnout report. The voter turnout report gives the breakdown of how many of the votes were cast in-person, how many were mail-in and how many were provisionals.

These updated results also include the mail-in ballots that were received from after 8 p.m. on Election Day (Nov. 3) until 5 p.m. Nov. 6 and were postmarked by Nov. 3.  We have included those votes in these results at this time based on the current court ruling and guidance from the state. We will remove those votes from the results if there are further rulings or guidance regarding these votes.  There will also be a report posted later today on the results page that will outline how many votes are in this category.

Finally, please see the notice on the results page announcing that the County of Berks has completed the canvass of votes cast at the general election and that the five-day review period began today and will end at 5 p.m. on Nov. 24.  The Election Board will then meet to certify the results on Nov. 25.
