Philadelphia Union Youth, YMCA of Reading Berks To Offer Soccer Programs

Reading, PA – The Philadelphia Union Youth is proud to announce a new partnership with the the YMCA of Reading & Berks County.

“We are very excited to partner with such a renowned and respected organization that share the same values and professionalism. The resources of the Philadelphia Union and the YMCA to the Reading / Berks area is going to create opportunities, memories and friends through the Union Youth soccer programs” said Philadelphia Union Youth General Manager, David Pettican. Pettican also stated, “Our joint goal is to have an impact on the soccer community and provide a connection to the Philadelphia Union whilst having access to the various programs the YMCA offer.”

This new partnership will allow for the growth of youth soccer players that may not have had the chance in the past to connect with the Philadelphia Union Youth. The first joint clinics will be held at Reading YMCA and Sinking Spring Family YMCA beginning in January 2021.

“With the Union’s focus on the development of youth soccer athletes and the YMCA’s concentration on youth development and healthy living, this partnership made perfect sense and we are so excited to be a part of it,” said YMCA of Reading & Berks County’s Director of Operations, Alyssa Bushkie, who helped bring this new partnership to life.

The Philadelphia Union Youth is thrilled to bring the amazing game of soccer to new areas and allow for youth development and growth.
