Penn State Health public roundtable on COVID-19, diversity-related health disparities

HERSHEY, PA—Penn State Health’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is hosting a virtual roundtable to address diversity as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The public roundtable will be moderated by Lynette Chappell-Williams, vice president and chief diversity officer at Penn State Health. Community leaders will join Penn State Health medical experts for a discussion including how various populations have been affected by COVID-19, barriers to caring for minority patients, fears about vaccination and how communities and organizations can encourage vaccination.

This roundtable is open to the public. Anyone who wishes to join can find registration and additional information at this link. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s goal is to work toward a collective commitment to helping these populations achieve greater equity in health care.
