CASA Berks accepting nominations for Champions for Children Award

Story written by Nancy McCullar

Jan 27, 2021

This award recognizes an individual, group or organization, teen and animal that has furthered the mission of CASA of Berks County by improving the lives of child victims of abuse and/or neglect in Berks County. If you would like to nomination someone, an organization, a teen, or an animal, simply fill out the nomination form. https://casaberks.org/events/champions-for-children/form

Please submit your nomination no later than March 12, 2021.   CASA volunteers and staff, though wonderful, are excluded from being a nominee.  We are looking for those in the Berks Community who are everyday heroes in protecting and healing the lives of abused children.

Award recipients will be chosen from the pool of nominees by the Champions for Children Judges. The panel, representing a cross section of our community includes: Waldo Alvarado, Director of Equity & Diversity, Reading School District;  English Bradley, Administrative Manager, BCTV;  Michelle Dech, Executive Director at The LGBT Center of Greater Reading; Kathy Felker, Board Chair, CASA Berks County; Annarose Ingarra-Milch, President, ROI Training & Consulting, LLC;  Santo D. Marabella, Marabella Enterprises, LLC and Bernie Mixon, Communications Specialist, Penske

Recipients will be honored at our Champions for Children Community Event this April. Thank you for your support! We hope to see you at the event! Questions? Please email Nancy McCullar at: [email protected] For more information about the work of CASA and for a list of last year’s recipients, please visit our website. www.casaberks.org
