ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) will return to competition on Thursday, Feb. 11 with conference play in the sport of men’s and women’s basketball. A total of 14 women’s teams and 13 men’s teams have opted-in to a five-week regular season with championship week to conclude play.
Both the men and women will have a schedule structured with two-games a week on Thursdays and Fridays for five weeks from Feb.11 to March 12. The week of March 15-21 has been designated for a championship week, however the format is to be determined and will be evaluated during the regular-season.

The Albright basketball teams will open up against Eastern on February 11th with the men’s team at home, and the women’s team on the road. The men will then travel to Eastern the following night while the women’s team will host the Eagles for their home opener. Also featured on the Lions schedule are: Widener, Delaware Valley, Stevenson, and Alvernia.

As a reminder, the MAC will not coordinate a conference season or championship event in the sport of men’s and women’s indoor track & field. Institutions have full autonomy to provide these student-athletes with practice or competition as they see fit.
The MAC swimming season is slated to start in early March, potentially culminating with a MAC Championship in mid-April. Further information on the swimming schedule will be announced at a later date.
Information pertaining to MAC spring sports, including men’s volleyball, baseball, men’s golf, women’s golf, men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, softball, men’s tennis, women’s tennis and men’s and women’s outdoor track & field will be announced at a later date.
