Feb 05, 2021

Habitat for Humanity of Berks County is pleased to announce that Performance Toyota has joined the Miltimore Street Project as a Foundation Sponsor.

“We’re passionate about serving the communities where we work, live and play,” said Karen Linder, Charitable Giving Coordinator, Performance Toyota. “We help by giving our time, knowledge and resources to support local organizations. And we go past meeting our partners’ day-to-day needs – we work with them to create tangible, sustainable solutions that address societal challenges.”

“Our community partners are vital to the success of Habitat Berks,” said Executive Director Tim Daley. “We are thankful for the support of Performance Toyota.”

The new homes on Miltimore Street are the next step in The Buttonwood Gateway Project. The houses are designed to establish a healthy and supportive family environment with reduced housing density and overall improve the quality of life in that neighborhood.

“This project includes three city blocks, West Buttonwood Street, Tulpehocken Street and Miltimore Street.” explained Daley.  “We are creating neighborhoods in which people will want to live and interact with others.”

“We are pleased to partner with Habitat Berks and support the life changing work this organization does to improve our community,”  said Linder.
