Albright College Virtual Panel to Examine Race and Sports

Albright College will be hosting another panel “Race and Sports in the World around Us” will be held on Mon., Feb. 22 at 5:00 p.m. on Zoom. Pre-registration can be done online here.  

This panel, led by Chaplain Ibi Bangura, focuses on systemic racism that has existed in sports history, as well as the recent career impact for professional athletes who have called out racism. This panel will feature sports studies professor and CNN contributor Amy Bass; Muhlenberg high school men’s basketball coach, former NBA basketball player and activist Tyrone Nesby; and Albright alumnus J.T. Randall ’99, head basketball coach at Louis Dieruff high school. 

This panel is part of the series of discussions led by Albright chaplains, faculty, staff and students on learning to be actively anti-racist. Learn more about Albright College’s commitment inclusivity and equity here
