See “Mementos of a Dream, Sculptures from the Collection” at Albright College

Reading, PA – Albright College’s newest exhibit, “Mementos of a Dream, Sculpture from the Collection” will be showing live in the Freedman Gallery, located in the Albright College Center for the Arts, from Tues., March 9 through Sun., April 18. Every Tues.-Fri., 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sun., 1-4 p.m. A virtual tour and gallery talk on Thur., April 1, 5 p.m. will be available via Facebook Live, and a tour with the Center for the Arts director will be offered virtually on Sun., Apr. 18, 2-3 p.m., via Facebook Live.

This collection, guest curated by Albright College alumna Brie Diodata ’19, will show a series of sculptures from well-known artists such as Jesse Amado, Robert Blanchards, Guido Brink, Salvador Dali, Ilsa Getz, Dante Giglio, Leonid Linauts, George Papashvily, Leonid Sokov, and Jesus Rafael Soto all focusing on turning the simple collection and building of found objects into something ironic or absurd.

This collection was curated from the Freedman Gallery’s existing collection of and will be shown in the main gallery.
