CASA Berks Now Accepting Nominations for Champions For Children Awards

CASA of Berks County is now accepting nominations for the Champions for Children Award. This award recognizes an individual, group or organization, teen and animal that has furthered the mission of CASA of Berks County by improving the lives of child victims of abuse and/or neglect in Berks County. If you would like to nomination someone, an organization, a teen, or an animal, simply fill out the nomination form. https://casaberks.org/events/champions-for-children/form

Please submit your nomination no later than March 12, 2021. Award recipients will be chosen from the pool of nominees by the Champions for Children Judges.  Questions? We are proud to announce the following community members will be reviewing all the nominations and select the winners for each category. Our judges, pictured below, are Waldo Alvarado, Director of Equity & Diversity, Reading School District; English Bradley, Administrative Manager, BCTV; Michelle Dech, Executive Director at The LGBT Center of Greater Reading; Kathy Felker, Board Chair, CASA of Berks County; Annarose Ingarra-Milch, President, ROI Training & Consulting, LLC; Santo D. Marabella, Marabella Enterprises, LLC; and Bernie Mixon, Communications Specialist, Penske.

We are so grateful for the support of the following companies and individuals who donated in support of our Champions for Children Campaign.  For only $2000 an abused child receives a year of personal child advocacy.  Our CASA advocates who are citizen volunteers learning about a child, engaging the child, and advocating for the child’s best interests.  Our CASA volunteers change the child’s story.
