Three Stops Added to Berks County Public Libraries Mobile Job Lab

by Berks County Public Libraries

Mar 17, 2021

The Berks County Public Libraries Mobile Job Lab will be visiting three area libraries this spring, providing employment and career services to interested job seekers.

In an effort to assist Berks County residents whose job has been negatively impacted by the pandemic, the Mobile Job Lab has partnered with PA CareerLink® Berks County to offer one-one-one instruction for resume creation and enhancement, job searching best practices, and assistance with on-site applications. Computer stations outfitted with Microsoft programs and high-speed Internet connection will be available, and participants can register for a free library card to access specialized online databases.

The Mobile Job Lab is currently scheduled to appear at the following locations:

  • Kutztown Community Library, March 25 from 12:30 – 5:30 PM
  • Boyertown Community Library, March 31 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM
  • Boone Area Library, April 6 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM

Anyone interested in attending the Mobile Job Lab events should register online at www.berkslibraries.org/mobile-job-lab or contact Alison Trautmann at 610-378-5260 ext. 2502.

The Mobile Job Lab will be taking precautions to ensure the safety of users and personnel including social distancing, requiring face masks, and temperature screenings.

The Mobile Job Lab is presented by Berks County Public Libraries in partnership with the Friends of Berks County Public Libraries. Funds to support this project have been generously provided by the Hawley and Myrtle Quier Fund of Berks County Community Foundation.
