Reading Public Library to Dedicate Outdoor Memorial Bench

A ceremony to dedicate an outdoor memorial bench at the SE Branch of Reading Public Library, 1426 Perkiomen Ave., will be held on Tuesday, March 23 at 3:00 pm.   The bench is in memory of Lisa McCoy, a treasured member of the library staff who passed away in the summer of 2020.

According to Emily McNulty, branch manager, “Lisa was an unfailingly patient, hard working, and compassionate employee who loved helping people.  Patrons of all ages considered her a friend.” Attendees including Mayor Eddie Moran and McCoy family members will be invited to share stories and memories.

The bench will be a welcome outdoor place for community members to browse a newly borrowed book or access our free WiFi on their mobile device.
