Reading Public Library Announces 2021 Cinema Club Films

Reading Public Library will resume their Cinema Club series with a discussion of “The Wife” starring Glenn Close and Jonathan Pryce. The discussion will be held at 7 pm on Wednesday, April 21 at the Reading Public Library Foundation Building, 113 S. 4th Street.

Future sessions include:

  • Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom       Wednesday, June 23
  • North by Northwest                  Wednesday, August 18
  • Mystic River                            Wednesday, October 20
  • Joyeux Noel                             Wednesday, December 15

All discussions are from 7 to 8 pm at the Foundation Building.  They will be led by RPL’s Supervisor of Reference Services Nathaniel Thomas.  The films will not be viewed at the discussion session but are available in the library’s collection.  The event is free of charge and pre-registration is not required.  Guests can easily access the Foundation Building via the parking lot gate on Wood St. behind the main library.

Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.  The events may be cancelled with no notice.
