Wyomissing Library program to help citizens understand Ballot Questions

On Tuesday, May 11th, at 6 PM the Wyomissing Public Library will offer a virtual program about the PA Constitutional Questions on the May 18th Primary Election Ballot .

The program will be presented by the League of Women Voters of Berks County and moderated by LWV member Judith Kraines. Guests Randall Newnham, Ph.D., Professor of Political Science at Penn State Berks, and Attorney Joan London, representing the Berks County Bar Association, will discuss the 3 questions about proposed amendments to the Pennsylvania Constitution, as well as a statewide referendum about the eligibility of municipal fire departments to apply for state loans.

Everyone who is registered to vote, regardless of party affiliation or non-partisan independent status, is eligible to vote on the ballot questions on May 18th.

The program, which will be presented on Zoom, is free and open to the public but registration is required; to register email [email protected] or call the library at 610-374-2385.
