Lisa Wilder Earns United Methodist Exemplary Teaching Award

Lisa Wilder, Ph.D., Reading, Pa., associate professor of economics at Albright College has earned a United Methodist Exemplary Teaching Award for 2021.

The United Methodist Exemplary Teaching Award recognizes faculty at United Methodist schools, colleges, and universities who have demonstrated remarkable teaching, leadership and commitment to value-centered education.

Students say that Wilder demonstrates an intelligent, common sense approach to ‘hands on’ teaching, and is focused on helping students see the connection of concepts within her courses.

Wilder credits Quality Matters training and her fondness for learning new computer tools with the success of her classes during the pandemic. She holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Shippensburg University, as well as Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Virginia Tech.
