Greater Reading Chamber Alliance Opens Nominations for Business Awards

The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) announced that the nomination period is now open for the Top 50 Business and the Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards. Winners of these awards will be recognized at the Annual Dinner in September at Santander Arena. Eligible businesses may apply at www.greaterreading.org/annualbusinessawards.

Top 50 Business Awards eligibility criteria are as follows:

  1. Be a for-profit independent, public or privately held.
  2. Be headquartered in Berks County.
  3. Have revenues of at least $1 million in each of the three most recent fiscal years.
  4. Be a Greater Reading Chamber Alliance member.
  5. Submit supporting documentation for revenues with nomination form.

Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards eligibility criteria are as follows:

  1. Be a for-profit company with revenues exceeding $250,000 in the most recent fiscal year.
  2. Be headquartered in Berks County.
  3. Have an averaged positive revenue increase over the past three consecutive years.
  4. Have been in operation for at least three full years.
  5. Be a current Greater Reading Chamber Alliance member.
  6. Not qualify for the Top Business Award threshold of $1 million in annual sales for the past three years.
  7. Submit supporting documentation for revenues with nomination form.

For the first time, nomination forms will be only sent through email and available online and not mailed as in years past. The move comes after many employees are still working from home and have adapted to a more digital workplace.

All nominations forms are due Wednesday, June 30. Late submissions will not be accepted. For each award, nominated businesses are ranked according to revenue growth. All Top 50 and Entrepreneurial Excellence companies are recognized via a video montage tribute with special recognition to the Top 3 in each category at the Annual Dinner.
