Barrio Alegria Presents “…But We’re Still Here!”
…But We’re Still Here!

Mark August 7 on your calendars. At 4 PM, Barrio Alegria will be presenting “…But We’re Still Here!”, as part of their Storytelling Through Dance community theatre project, on the steps of the Reading Public Library, 100 S 5th Street.

This year’s theater production focuses on wage theft, sexual assault, and resiliency! “…But We’re Still Here!” is the story of Adela who is dealing with wage theft at work and her daughter, Candela, who was sexually assaulted by her partner.

Storytelling Through Dance is a community engagement project that takes the shape of a community theater production. The project builds a space for community members to gain leadership skills, explore self limiting beliefs, occupy spaces they do not naturally see themselves in, and build a better world.

This presentation is made possible by our friends at Visions Federal Credit Union.
