Olivet Boys & Girls Club Announces Back-To-School Vaccine Clinics at Club Locations

Olivet Boys & Girls Club strives to “enable all young people, especially those that need us the most, to reach their full potential as healthy, productive, caring, responsible citizens.” The health and safety of Olivet club members, their families, our volunteers, our team members, and community has always been a top priority and is more important now than ever as our youth head back to a full in-person learning environment.

Olivet Boys & Girls Club and Oakside Care Pharmacy has launched a plan to hold Back-to-School Vaccine Clinics to help vaccinate the underserved population in our county and especially the youth. The first clinic will be held at Reading’s National Night Out Event on August 3rd, at 5th and Penn Street from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. The following clinic dates, locations and times are listed below:

“With the emergence of the delta variant and the upcoming school year rapidly approaching, Olivet Boys and Girls Club joins forces with our community partners to offer these free vaccine clinics to fight the development of a surge in our community. We will continue to use every opportunity to educate the youth with scientific facts supporting the need for the vaccines in our community,” said Chris Winters, President and CEO, Olivet Boys & Girls Club.

Appointments can be made by contacting Abby Frost at [email protected]. Appointments are suggested but walk-ins are welcomed and no one will be turned away.

All youth who complete their vaccinations at the Olivet clinics will be entered into a drawing to receive an X-box gaming console. Three consoles will be awarded.
