Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions Announces Appointments of 4 Vice Presidents

Herbein + Company, Inc. (Herbein) is pleased to announce the promotion of 4 senior management team members in its Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions division.

Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions was created with the July 1 combination of Herbein and Mosteller & Associates, a regional full-service human resource organization based in Reading, PA. Operating as Herbein HR Solutions, dba Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions, the new HR division enhances Herbein’s ability to deliver strategic human resources services and resources that help the firm’s clients succeed with confidence.

Laurel Cline, Karen H. DiGioia, Lori L. Gliva, and Scott Smith have been named vice presidents of Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions.

And as Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions continues to reach for the next level of partnership with our clients, these talented professionals will be critical to how we deliver future-facing strategies,” said Chester “Chet” Q. Mosteller, Herbein I Mosteller HR Solutions CEO. “I extend my congratulations to each of our new vice presidents on this significant career milestone.”

All four vice presidents will report to Mosteller. They are listed below in alphabetical order:

Laurel Cline

A Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions professional with extensive consulting and internal HR expertise teamed with general management and Human Resource knowledge, Laurel Cline’s areas of specialization include compensation (executive, incentive, and base pay), human resource policies and procedures, employee investigations, organizational development, and HR Outsourcing. She works with a diverse client base, including higher education, manufacturing, continuing care retirement communities, financial services, and not-for-profit organizations.

Prior to joining Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions in 1998, Cline served as Director of Human Resources for Morgan Corporation, then North America’s leading manufacturer of small- to mid-size truck bodies. In that position, Cline was responsible for all aspects of the creation and delivery of HR services for the corporate headquarters and the six regional manufacturing facilities with over 1,200 employees. She also worked for a premier national financial institution for more than 10 years in progressive HR roles. Cline graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BA in Speech Communications where she also took numerous business courses. She is a graduate of the PA Bankers Association Intermediate School of Banking, and is a member of World at Work (formerly American Compensation Association) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Cline is actively involved in the community and serves on a local not-for-profit board.

Karen H. DiGioia

Karen DiGioia joined Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions in 2005. Her responsibilities include partnering with clients in a wide variety of HR areas, such as executive compensation; salary administration; incentive compensation plan development and implementation; organizational restructuring; performance management; and human resources information system (HRIS) and payroll administration. DiGioia is especially adept at the creation and implementation of base compensation structures that are market competitive, organizationally sound, and internally equitable.

Prior to joining Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions, DiGioia had over 20 years of HR experience, most recently as human resource manager at a premier regional bank. While much of her experience was in the financial services industry, DiGioia began her career at an IT services organization and also worked for a durable medical goods provider. She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a BA in General Arts and Sciences, and is a member of the National Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as well as PEBA (Pennsylvania Employee Benefits Association).

Mosteller commented, “I work closely with Karen on both compensation and executive compensation projects – Karen always handles everything with the upmost professionalism and expertise.”

Lori L. Gliva

Lori Gliva joined Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions in 1998 with over 17 years of diversified human resources experience. Gliva’s assignments have continued to expand her expertise in all facets of Human Resources. She has  partnered with public, private and non-for-profit organizations as both an on-site management resource and managed and implemented Human Resources projects which have included leadership development programs, compensation strategy and program design,  department operations and process establishment,  software selection and implementation, data integrity, all levels of recruitment, employee relations investigation, department audit and action plan implementation, benefits design and selection, and employee communication, coaching and development.

Earlier in her career, Gliva was vice president and human resources business partner to the asset management function of a premier financial institution. Her responsibilities included the alignment of people strategies with HR products and services as well as coaching and consulting with executive management on business issues and HR strategies. Gliva graduated from Alvernia College with a degree in Personnel Management, and completed the coursework at the University of Colorado Graduate School of Human Resource Management and the Central Atlantic Advanced School of Banking. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), member of and a Society for Human Resources Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and is certified to administer both the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI) assessment tools.

“Lori excels in building long term relationships with clients and particularly focuses on growing senior and executive talent,” Mosteller said.

Scott Smith

Scott Smith is a seasoned human resource professional with more than 20 years of experience across multiple HR functions. At Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions, his Human Resource functional areas of specialization include leadership effectiveness, compensation, HRIS, organizational development, and performance management.

Prior to joining Herbein | Mosteller HR Solutions in 2018, Smith was vice president of human resources at a private equity owned manufacturing and distribution company. He spent 20 years in executive leadership roles with three manufacturing companies that ranged in size from 250 to 2,000 employees, and has led all aspects of the HR function at each company. Earlier in his career, he spent 12 years in retail operations with P&L accountability before transitioning to HR. Smith was a member of Vistage International from 2010 to 2018, learning and applying best practices in a wide variety of functional disciplines and businesses. He is an Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS) Implementer, Society for Human Resources Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and an Achieve Global Certified Trainer. Smith graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Marketing and minor in Economics, and is a graduate of the Manufacturing Leadership Institute.
