After a year off due to the pandemic, the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) is thrilled to host the third Building Berks Awards & Expo this year on October 13, 2021 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Reading. The event and awards were developed in 2018 as an opportunity to spotlight positive economic growth and development through construction projects in the Greater Reading, PA community. Applicants submitting nominations for projects are asked to include all parties involved – from the banking institution to the contractor – we want to honor everyone involved in making projects in our community come to fruition!
The GRCA is seeking nominations for eligible projects completed by July 31, 2021. Projects will be evaluated by a diverse panel of judges representing various industries and backgrounds and will evaluate economic + community impact, design, aesthetic, and other factors. The nomination application will close on Friday, August 13.
Awards will be presented to projects nominated in the following categories:
- Agricultural
- Education
- Healthcare
- Housing – Single, Multi-Family, Adaptive Reuse
- Manufacturing
- Mixed-use
- Office
- Restaurant/Bar
On the evening of Wednesday, October 13, guests can enjoy hors d’oeuvres while viewing nominated projects, visit sponsor tables, and find out who will be 2021 Building Berks award recipients. Purchase event tickets.
