Sensory Concepts Orthopedic & Medical Massage welcomes Jennifer Manicioto to its Wyomissing Office, 5 Bristol Court, on August 2, 2021. Manicioto, who received her certification from Berks Technical Institute, brings nearly 18 years’ experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist. She joins owner Sandy Wagner, LMT; Kayleigh Miller-Scarpino, LMT, and Kelly Broughall, LMT.
Manicioto is trained in Thai Massage, an ancient massage technique that varies from traditional massage in its method, yet delivers the same health benefits. The client, while fully clothed in loose-fitting attire, lies on a floor mat, not on a massage table. The therapist uses hands, feet, and knees, to guide the client in gentle yoga-like stretching and also applies muscle compression. A typical session lasts 30 or 60 minutes.
When asked why she finds benefit in joining the licensed staff at Sensory Concepts, Manicioto didn’t hesitate: “When Sandy Wagner interviewed me, she let me know that she wanted to teach me orthopedic—it’s an opportunity. Also, I want to use my education in this setting for healing.” Manicioto is accepting new clients for traditional and Thai massage therapy. She is one of the few trained practitioners in Berks County for Thai massage.
According to the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), there are 25 reasons to get a massage. (See attached.) Whatever your reason, make your appointment today with Sensory Concepts, 5 Bristol Court, Wyomissing, PA 19610, to discover a host of health benefits.
