Muhlenberg Township will once again be hosting River Fest – Muhlenberg’s Food and Music Festival. This event is majestically located in Jim Dietrich Park along a trail that follows a bend in the Schuylkill River. There will be two music stages; one electric and one acoustic highlighting local musical talent with the river as its backdrop. In total we have 30+ musical acts scheduled over the three days performing Bluegrass, Classic Rock, Jazz, Country, Indie music and so much more.
A variety of food vendors will be available to dazzle your taste buds. Some vendors include Scott’s Gyro Box, Norte Sur, Candy Ice Cream, Mad J’s BBQ, Two Can Catering and Kettle Corn, Sweet Ride Ice Cream, Spuds, and Festival Island Noodles just to name a few. There will also be wine, beer and hard cider available to quench the thirst of the 21 and over crowd.
We have expanded RiverFest this year to include Friday, August 27 from 4 to 10PM. Friday’s activities will be centered around the farmhouse with music, beer, frozen drinks and food vendors. On Saturday, August 28 from 10AM to 10PM and Sunday, August 29 from 10AM to 7PM the entire trial will be open with the artisan crafters, direct sale businesses, the Reading Racing Historical Society and more. We will also be the host site of the sanctioned RiverFest Quoiting Tournament on August 28th and a Pickle Ball Tournament on Aug. 28th & 29th.
