Notice is hereby given that the City of Reading Zoning Hearing Board will conduct public hearings on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. in the following matters. The proceedings will be broadcast from City Hall, located at 815 Washington Street, Reading, PA, and members of the public may participate via Zoom or in person, as circumstances allow.

Appeal #2021-03 – 415 Woodward St. (UPI 07530766724821)

HEARINGS WILL BE HELD FOR THE FOLLOWING MATTERS:

Appeal #2021-15 – 730 McKnight St. (UPI 15530757542346): Freedom and Restoration for Everyone Enslaved, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation, seeks variances to establish a group home less than 800 feet from an existing daycare center located at 215–221 W. Douglass St., and from off-street parking and dimensional requirements. The subject property is located in the R-3 Residential Zoning District and is owned by Andrea & Clark McHenry.

Appeal #2021-16 – 823 N. 8th St. (UPI 12530760946777): Hector Portillo and Jonathan Yepez-Guzman (record owners) seek a use variance to convert an existing one-family dwelling into two dwelling units, and associated relief from dimensional and off-street parking requirements. The subject property is located in the Commercial Neighborhood (C-N) Zoning District.

HEARINGS WILL BE HELD FOR THE FOLLOWING MATTERS:

Appeal #2021-17 – 343 S. 6th St. (UPI 02530635884165): Alejandro Collado-Guzman (record owner) seeks a use variance, dimensional variance, and associated relief to establish a 9-unit multifamily residential rental property. The Board previously denied relief for 9 dwelling units in 2017 (Appeal #2017-42). The subject property is located in the R-3 Residential Zoning District and the Prince Historic District.

Appeal #2021-18 – 1501 Schuylkill Ave. (UPI 19530730185226): Christina Mambru (record owner) seeks a use variance, dimensional variance, and associated relief to establish a daycare center with two residential dwelling units at the subject property, located in the R-1 Residential Zoning District.
