The Reading Fightin Phils are happy to announce that Pride Night is coming back to FirstEnergy Stadium on September 9th. Courtesy of Kutztown University and LGBTQ+Resource Center at Kutztown University, Baseballtown will continue their great relationship with the Reading Pride Celebration!

The festivities begin as soon as you enter the stadium, as the first 1,000 fans receive a free R-Phils Rainbow Lanyard upon entry. Gates open at 5:00, so make sure to get here early for some free swag to rep your pride. First pitch is slated for 7:05.

Plus, if you arrive early, you can join us for our 5:00 Happy Hour, which features $1 Off Beer courtesy of Rusty Rail Brewing Company. There will be a pre-game concert with “Jon Smith Voyages” for all to enjoy.

Lt. Governor John Fetterman will be in attendance to host an open Q&A about his support for the LGBTQ+community and resource center. From 5:45-6:00 pm, the Lt. Gov. will be available to answer any and all of your questions in a town hall style discussion. This will take place under the Left Field Grandstand by the picnic tables at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Fetterman was born in Reading, PA and continued his time in Berks County as he attended Albright University. Fetterman was elected as the 34th lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania in 2019.

Jerry Schearer of Kutztown University expressed her excitement for the event, stating “being a sponsor of this event is just one more way that KU hopes to show our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion within the region and on our campus.”

Following the game will be Toss-A-Ball for Charity, thanks to Savage 61, and fireworks show thanks to International Fireworks Retail Store Douglasville. Plus, you can enjoy these post-game events with $1 off beers at the post-game happy hour by St. Bonifacio Craft Brewing complete with a concert from “Drew and the Blue.”

The Fightins will be sporting their “Throwback Thursday” uniforms as they take on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays), which feature the classic Black R -Train look. Don’t wait to make sure you can be a part of the fun. Tickets are available now through rphils.com/tickets
