County of Berks hosting Career Fair highlighting open positions with the Berks County Jail System, DES, CYS and Berks Heim
Reading, PA — The County of Berks invites job seekers interested in starting a career with the County to stop by our Career Fair on Thursday, September 16. The Career Fair will feature several departments with immediate job openings for essential workers, an area to complete online applications and on-the-spot interviews for positions with Berks Heim Nursing Home. The Career Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the auditorium of the Berks County Agricultural Center at 1238 County Welfare Road, Leesport.
The Career Fair will specifically focus on the following departments: Berks County Jail System, Department of Emergency Services, Berks Heim, Children & Youth Services and Human Resources. The County currently has a need for correctional officers, telecommunicators, caseworkers, nurses and other nursing home care positions. Anyone interested in these positions is encouraged to check out the career fair to learn more about the roles and responsibilities from employees from those departments.
The Berks County Public Libraries’ Mobile Job Lab will also be on site to allow job seekers to complete online applications while at the Career Fair. Applicants interested in utilizing the mobile job lab should bring or have digital access to their resume. Berks Heim will also be conducting interviews on site for the following open positions: RN, LPN, CNA, NA, Cooks and Dietary Aides.
