The Village Library Celebrates New Children’s Room

by The Village Library of Morgantown

Dec 03, 2021

The Village Library, 207 North Walnut Street Morgantown Pa, is celebrating the reopening of the newly renovated children’s area.

The newly renovated children’s area was made possible the generous sponsorship of Iron Mountains;   a local company in Morgantown that excels at creating safe and quality products for children.   The library has future plans of creating an outdoor reading garden in the coming New Year with continued sponsorship with Iron Mountains.  The library understands the need for having a functional space while considering the safety of our library community during the pandemic while coming up with innovative ways to  make sure needs are being met with whom we serve.

A big factor with all these renovations taking place is making it a library for everyone.

“We have examined the best suitable materials for those who use wheelchairs, walkers, and other means for mobility when creating our new space and future outdoor spaces.  We also included mounted sensory toys which are excellent for children who have autism; this toys are proven to help autistic children relax, focus, and calm down to a scenario or event.”- Maria Long, Library Director
