MG Architects Principal Named Chairman of Union Township Planning Commission

James A. Sarro, AIA, Principal at Muhlenberg Greene Architects has been appointed Chairman of the Planning Commission by the Union Township Board of Supervisors

Muhlenberg Greene Architects is pleased to announce that Principal James A. Sarro, AIA, has been named Chairman of the Union Township Planning Commission.

The Planning Commission consists of five (5) members, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, to advise the Board concerning physical development of the community. This includes reviewing and approving subdivision and land development plans, creating land use ordinances, and reviewing the comprehensive plan periodically.

Planning Commissioners act as citizen planners and work to develop plans and implementation policies that affect how their community manages changes in growth and development.

In addition to his role on the Planning Commission, Jim currently serves as Chairman on the Union Township Environmental Advisory Committee. A native of Pottstown, Mr. Sarrohe lives in Douglassville, PA with his wife, Kim and their two daughters, Lauren, and Katie.

Jim earned a degree in Architectural Design from Lincoln Technical Institute and is an accredited professional through Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), with a specialty in building design and construction. Jim is a member of the American Institute of Architects and has over 20 years’ experience as an architect registered in multiple states.

As a Principal of Muhlenberg Greene Architects, Jim brings oversight to all aspects of the design process, including maintaining the firm’s project management standards of high quality, detail-oriented project documentation, and coordination with consultants and project stakeholders. He serves as firm Secretary and provides leadership for marketing and business development activities.
