BCTV Announces Spring Interns for 2022

Berks Community Television (BCTV) is excited to welcome David “DJ” Havice and Madison Jorfi as Spring 2022 interns. DJ will be assisting with television production in the VISIONS studio and Madison will be assisting in developing and implementing social media campaigns.

David “DJ” Havice

DJ is a senior Cinema, Television, and Media Production major at Kutztown University.

“I chose to intern at BCTV because I really enjoyed working with studio productions from my classes and I wanted to learn more in depth about it. I also heard it’s a great place to intern from my professor.”

In his free time, DJ is an avid PC gamer, using a computer he built himself several years ago.

Madison Jorfi

Madison is a senior Communications/Journalism major with a minor in Digital Media at Albright College.

Madison learned about BCTV working at WXAC as Music Director while the two organizations shared residence.

“I always heard amazing things about the organization and seeing the staff hard-at-work every day motivated me to apply for an internship. I am highly interested in studio production, and I knew BCTV would be the perfect place to get that experience. I also have college experience with social media promotion/marketing, graphic/web design, and journalism writing.”

Along with having her own radio show on WXAC, she likes to write fiction in her free time.

College students gain practical, hands-on technical training and media experience with internships at Berks Community Television. The program includes working side-by-side with our staff to learn about camera and technical operations, audio/video components, and live studio programming, as well as practicing content curation, digital file management, creation of website and social media content, and participation in organization events.
