Berks County Groundhog Tradition Continues

by Pagoda-Skyline, Inc.

Jan 28, 2022

The 17th annual “Patty Pagoda” Groundhog Day event will take place Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 7am, at the Pagoda in Reading. Berks County’s own furry forecaster will make her prediction for the next six weeks ahead.

The Pagoda is closed for renovations, so the festivities will take place outside of the Tori Gate area. The event is presented by volunteers of the Foundation for the Reading Pagoda (which preserves and operates the Pagoda), and Pagoda Skyline Incorporated (which preserves and operates the William Penn Memorial Fire Tower); the City of Reading owns both landmarks.
