Santander and Performing Arts Center Conclude Record Setting February

The ASM Global Managed Santander Arena (located at 700 Penn Street) and the Santander Performing Arts Center (located at 136 North 6th Street) concluded the month of February with a record setting number of events within a 16 day span and one of the highest two week attendance counts of patrons in the two venue’s 20 years of operation. During this span of events fans traveled to downtown Reading for a variety of events including BCIAA Basketball, a sold out Whiskey Myers concert, the tour kick off to the Dropkick Murphys, multiple Reading Royals games and much more.

General Manager of the two downtown venues, David Farrar, explained “The end of February showcased how strong the community support is for the content we are bringing to Reading, PA. We had a wide range of events that appealed to everyone and that diversity of content is what allowed to us achieve this milestone during our 20th Anniversary Season. But, we aren’t done yet as next few months could be just as big or bigger for our two venues.”

With the record setting February behind the Santander Arena and Santander Performing Arts Center the focus shifts to the future as Nelly and Ludacris are set to kick off the month on March 3. The performance from the iconic hip/hop duo will be quickly followed by comedian Rob Schneider on March 4, Celtic Thunder on March 5 and Los Tigres del Norte on March 11. “2021 started off great for our venues and we were excited to re-open our two venues with a wide range of content for our fans. The success we saw in the fall allowed us to expand our Spring into the biggest we’ve ever offered with numerous artists like Marc Anthony, For King & Country, Slipknot, Aaron Lewis and Breaking Benjamin all returning for the second half of our 20th Anniversary Season” explained Director of Marketing Matt Christine

Highlights spread across the months to come include RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles, a sold out Nate Bargatze show, the return of Marc Anthony, Bill Burr, Slipknot, Breaking Benjamin, & many more. Tickets for all upcoming events at the Santander Arena and Santander Performing Arts Center are on-sale now online at Ticketmaster.com.
