Self-care is an essential aspect of a happy life, especially for people taking care of others. Often, when we take care of others, we neglect to care for ourselves. During Kinship Family Forum: Self Care and Stress Management caregivers will learn about the importance of self-care and wellness, recognize signs of stress, and learn how to manage stress. This event was adopted from West Virginia University Kinship Care Program Self Care and Stress Management module.

Kinship care is a term used for individuals raising children by grandparents, other extended family members, and adults with whom they have a close family-like relationship such as godparents and close family friends because biological parents are unable to do so for whatever reason.
