Spotlight on Barrio Alegria’s FARO Program

May 5th from Noon to 1 via Zoom

Barrio Alegria is a community based organization in the City of Reading working to use the arts as a platform for civic engagement, multicultural awareness and a more inclusive community.  Barrio uses the arts as a way to build and empower the future leadership of the community.

Recently, Barrio has collaborated with the Wyomissing Foundation to launch a grant program to support organizations and individuals working to create positive change in the community and enhance community engagement.  These grants, up to $5,000, will be used to support projects designed to bring people together, create a shared sense of place, support community engagement, and help create positive change and momentum in Reading.
