Wyomissing Public Library Announces 11th Annual Kentucky Derby Fundraiser

On Saturday, May 7th, the Wyomissing Public Library will celebrate the 146th running of the Kentucky Derby with its 11th annual Kentucky Derby Party.

This year’s fundraiser will be held from 5 PM till 9 PM on May 7th at 1001 Reading Boulevard in Wyomissing. This historic property was built in 1915 by one of “the Partners,” Henry Janssen. Janssen and Frederick Thun established the borough of Wyomissing and were the guiding forces behind many of our local institutions including the library. The property was purchased by its current owners in 2016 and has been renovated and restored to its original charm and beauty since then.

General admission tickets for the event are $125 per person and include savory and sweet bites, mint juleps, craft beers and wine. VIP Tickets, which include a tour of the mansion, are $175 per person. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Derby attire; the Derby race will be available for viewing on large screens in the mansion.
