Berks Ballet Theatre Presents “Forgotten Fairy Tales”

This year, Berks Ballet Theatre is presenting two new fairy tales to enchant and transport audiences through dance. “Red Rose & Snow White” and “A Ballerina’s Tale”, both choreographed by Resident Choreographer Nathan Bland, are sure to enchant and delight audiences with original choreography, and new costumes with music by Handel and Riisager. The afternoon begins with a pre-performance party 12:30 – 1:30pm with treats, crafts, and a dancer meet and greet followed by a 2:00pm performance. A wonderful event for the family to do together!

Red Rose & Snow White

An original adaptation based on The Brothers Grimm fairy tale, the ballet excerpt tells the story of Red Rose and Snow White, two sisters on a journey through an enchanted forest. As the sisters make their way through the forest, woodland creatures dance and delight, and flowers come to life.

A Ballerina’s Tale

This original work brings to life a scene from an Edgar Degas-inspired painting. Still dancers donning flowering tutus awaken to express the beauty of ballet through sumptuous movement and a French impressionist motif.
