Hope Rescue Mission’s “Evening of Hope” Gathers Over 500 Attendees

Hope Rescue Mission held its annual gala on Sunday, May 1st from 4-7pm at The DoubleTree by Hilton in Reading.

This was the first time in two years that the Gala was held in person due to the Pandemic.  There were over 500 attendees at the dinner to celebrate the successes of their residents, staff and programs.

The three programs of Hope Rescue Mission that were highlighted, included the men’s shelter, HopeWorks and The LightHouse.

“The Gala’s success is a testament to all our supporters across the community. We are overjoyed to be able to get together again in person and celebrate the stories of hope that occur as a result of our programs,” said Rob Turchi, Executive Director of Hope Rescue Mission.

It was announced that the planned LightHouse Women and Children’s shelter construction will begin this summer and the new Executive Director of The LightHouse, Kate Alley was introduced. “Our community desperately needs a place for women and children who are homeless. The LightHouse will provide hope, a place of security, and a path for them to rebuild their lives,” said Alley.
