Berks Community Health Center Welcomes New Midwife

Lydia M. Anderson, MSN, CNM, has joined Berks Community Health Center (BCHC) as a Certified Nurse-Midwife.  “We are thrilled to have Lydia join the team at BCHC,” said OB/GYN, Chelsea Marks, DO.  “They bring extensive knowledge and clinical experience with them, and we are excited to expand our women’s health services.”

Anderson completed their Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse-Midwifery Specialty from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, TN in 2021 and received their American Midwifery Board Certification in April 2021.

Anderson joins the healthcare providers at Berks Community Health Center to offer patients quality, comprehensive and affordable healthcare care for all.   Joining Dr. Chelsea Marks, OB/GYN, they aim to empower patients through the many different facets of reproductive and sexual health including family planning, gynecologic health, and care during pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause.  Anderson will join Dr. Marks at Berks Community Health Center’s fourth and newest site at 1110 Rockland Street in Reading.
