LGBT Center of Greater Reading to Host Monkeypox Webinar

The LGBT Center of Greater Reading is partnering with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to host an informative and educational webinar on Monkeypox August 11th 2022 at 6pm. We will be joined by Dr. Lisa McHugh who is the Assistant Director for the Bureau of Epidemiology at the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Jill Garland, Director, Bureau of Communicable Diseases, Pennsylvania Department of Health to answer questions about vaccine strategy.

Dr. Lisa McHugh is currently the Assistant Director for the Bureau of Epidemiology at the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Dr McHugh has both a Master of Public Health and Doctoral degree in Epidemiology. She currently oversees activities associated with the COVID-19 and monkeypox outbreak response. In addition to these response activities, she manages the healthcare associated infections and HIV surveillance programs. Dr. McHugh has more than 20 years of experience working in local and state public health agencies with a focus on infectious disease epidemiology, surveillance and outbreak response.
