O’Pake Institute Announces New Exec. Dir. of Financial Services & Internal Operations

The O’Pake Institute for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship is excited to announce Lizette Epps as its new Executive Director of Financial Services & Internal Operations!   Lizette brings over 25 years of business experience to O’Pake and holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

A resident of Berks County for the past 12 years, Lizette is a passionate and trusted community leader. She has a strong focus on initiatives for women, children, and the Latin population.   She is the Vice President of the board for the Berks Latino Workforce Development Corp., board member for the Lehigh Valley Hispanic Chamber, First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, and The Village of Reading. She received the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Woman of Distinction Award, Reading Eagle’s 40 Under 40 Award, the YWCA’s Coretta Scott King Award, and the Racial Justice Award.

In her new role, Lizette will focus on P & L management, continued oversight of the FLIC early-stage entrepreneurial microgrant program, grant sourcing and administration for the O’Pake Institute, mentoring and training O’Pake students in entrepreneurial finance and various other financial activities. Additionally, she will be providing non-profit advising for clients interested in that avenue of entrepreneurship. She will manage an array of functions related to infrastructure and operations, and will ensure effective management, process implementations, and operations throughout O’Pake.
