This year’s NPD Breakfast, Awards and Conversation with Edgar Villanueva will take place on Thursday, November 10th at the DoubleTree Hotel in Reading, PA. Breakfast begins at 7:30 am and the program commences at 8:00am.
The annual breakfast honors individuals, organizations, and businesses for their extraordinary philanthropic achievements in Berks County.

Immediately following the award breakfast, AFP Berks will be hosting a conversation with Edgar Villanueva, founder and principal of the Decolonizing Wealth Project and Liberated Capital from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. Edgar is an award-winning author, activist, and expert on issues of race, wealth, and philanthropy. His bestselling book, Decolonizing Wealth (2018, 2021), has been called a ‘wake-up call’ to philanthropy. Edgar advises a range of organizations including national and global philanthropies, Fortune 500 companies, and entertainment on social impact strategies to advance racial equity from within and through their investment strategies.
