GoggleWorks’ Pumpkin Palooza is Growing

Art center’s beloved fall event returns with new activities for creativity and family fun

GoggleWorks Center for the Arts (GoggleWorks) announced the kickoff of its autumn season with the return of its beloved Pumpkin Palooza event, taking place on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Pumpkin Palooza, now in its 8th year, is an admission free, family-friendly event held outdoors on GoggleWorks’ impressive 145,000 square foot campus. The event celebrates all things fall, with opportunities for families to get creative and have fun.

“The start of autumn is always a welcomed time to celebrate changing seasons, and our annual Pumpkin Palooza event is the perfect way to do that! From pumpkin-themed workshops to gourd slingshot- we feature the very best of what fall brings. Seeing returning guests choose their new pumpkin to add to their collection always makes me smile because it shows that they have a connection to the event and what we do here at GoggleWorks– we create unique interactions with art,” says Jamie Smith, Director of Operations and co-founder of the event.

The October 9th event will again feature a handblown glass pumpkin patch, from which shoppers can choose their favorites, including the limited edition 2022 pumpkins. Make-your-own pumpkin workshops in hot glass, fused glass, flameworking, and metals will also be running throughout the day, and pre-registration is recommended. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit art center’s mission and outreach.

The great pumpkin hunt starts on September 26th and takes place on each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until Pumpkin Palooza on October 9th. Clues will be shared via social media stories @goggleworks. Viewers can decipher the clues to locate the glass pumpkins.
