Berks County Park Rangers to Offer Interactive Fall Programs

The Berks County Park Rangers will be presenting family-friendly programming throughout the fall, starting with Ride with a Ranger on Sunday, September 18, and continuing with the monthly Read with a Ranger series until December.

Ride with a Ranger | Sunday, September 18, 1-3 p.m.:
Join Berks County Parks Chief Ranger Eric Seidel for Ride with a Ranger at the Berks County Heritage Center. Kids will climb onto their bikes to hit the trails with Chief Ranger Seidel as he gives an interactive glimpse into the everyday life of a Berks County Park Ranger.

This two-hour ride on the Union Canal Trail will guide kids through activities and bike skills to help Ranger Seidel complete his daily tasks. The program is geared toward children ages 6 and older, with an accompanying adult. Children must bring their own bike and wear a helmet while riding. This program is FREE, but registration is required.

Read with a Ranger | Tuesdays September 20, October 18, November 15 and December 20., 10-11 a.m.:
Join Park Ranger Doug Grove on an adventure! Kids ages 3-5 are invited to enjoy a themed story, go for a walk on the trail and complete a craft to become an honorary Junior Ranger. Each month will feature a different theme and location. Parents/guardians must attend with their child (this is not a drop-off program). This program is FREE, but registration is suggested.
