You’re invited! A Q&A with Pa.’s secretary of state

From Spotlight PA

Sep 19, 2022

On Nov. 8, Pennsylvania voters will decide the state’s next governor and U.S. senator, among other key jobs in government. The future direction of the state and possibly the nation hangs in the balance.

Since 2020, state lawmakers and candidates for public office have questioned the integrity of Pennsylvania’s elections process, and some have challenged the law that created no-excuse mail voting. Depending on who gets elected this fall, the state could see major changes to election and voting policy.

On Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. ET on Zoom, Spotlight PA will be joined by Acting Secretary of State Leigh M. Chapman, who oversees elections in Pennsylvania, for the first half of our panel. Chapman will discuss how her agency secures and runs elections, explain the state’s voting policies, and join our reporters in answering all of your most pressing election questions.
