PennDOT Freight Movement Plan Public Comment Period is Open

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites you to review and comment on the updated draft 2045 Freight Movement Plan (FMP). The plan is available for public comment from September 21 – October 5, 2022. The draft plan and comment form is available at penndot.gov/planning.

The revised draft of the 2045 FMP addresses the provisions of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act which was signed into law by President Biden in November 2021. The plan positions PennDOT to be able to respond to the major changes that this new legislation introduces, and will maintain Pennsylvania’s eligibility to receive an estimated $58 million annually in federal freight funding.
