Drexel University Medical Students to Host Student-Run Community Health Fair

Drexel University College of Medicine Health Outreach Medical Students are inviting the Reading community to attend the Medical Student-run 2022 Community Health Fair. The event will be held Saturday October 29th from 10am to 2pm and will be held at the LGBT Center of Greater Reading at 640 Centre Ave, Reading PA, 19601.

They are encouraging people who live in the Reading area and can identify with any of the following to attend the fair:

  • experiencing housing issues
  • addiction/mental health counseling
  • seeking health resources/education
  • are LGBTQ+
  • are on Medicaid, Medicare, or are uninsured

Over 20 vendors will be there to provide a diverse array of services, from free immigration law services to free home healthcare.

Students from the Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health will also be offering free basic health screenings (BMI, blood glucose, and blood pressure), basic eye exams (vision acuity, color blindness), and basic neurological exams. There will be free food, games, and a gift-card raffle.
