The Reading Symphony Orchestra will be back on the stage with the first concert of the new year on Saturday, January 21, 2023, with a fan favorite, Vivaldi’s the Four Seasons with special guest Keila Wakao, a young violinist who has garnered first place accolades in the 2021 Menuhin Violin and Stulburg String Competitions.

Vivaldi’s most famous piece, The Four Seasons, is a set of four violin concertos representing the seasons of the year. Composed in 1723, they are the world’s most popular and recognized pieces of music from the Baroque period.

The young phenom and guest artist, Keila Wakao, is sure to steal your heart with her performance. Born in 2006, 16-year-old violinist from Boston, MA began playing the violin at the age of 3. Beyond Miss Wakao’s musicality, she offers a vulnerability that connects deeply with her audience.

“The Reading Symphony Orchestra audience will be mesmerized by the freshness and beauty of the seasons featured in this concert,” shares David Gross, Executive Director of the RSO. “We’re looking forward to Keila Wakao joining us as soloist with the Reading Symphony Orchestra and introducing this talented young artist to our patrons.”
