Reading Hospital COO Appointed to HAP Board of Directors

West Reading, PA. – The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP), a statewide membership services organization that advocates for the health and well-being of all Pennsylvanians citizens, has announced the appointment of Michelle Trupp, Chief Operating Officer (COO), of Reading Hospital, to its board of directors for a three-year term effective January 1, 2023.

HAP is a statewide membership services organization that represents 235 hospitals as well as the patients and communities they serve. Additional information about HAP is available online at www.haponline.org.

“I am honored to have been selected to serve on the HAP Board of Directors with my healthcare colleagues from across the commonwealth,” shared Ms. Trupp. “I know that we will continue to have a positive impact on the millions of citizens we care for across Pennsylvania. Ms. Trupp’s clinical and administrative career spans more than 40 years at Reading Hospital and Tower Health. In August 2022, she was named COO for Reading Hospital and Senior Vice President, Tower Health. Prior to that, Ms. Trupp was Chief Information Officer for Tower Health.

As one of the 28-member board of healthcare leaders from across Pennsylvania, Ms. Trupp will be actively involved in setting the association’s strategic direction and priorities to foster a robust hospital community and promote access to high-quality care across the commonwealth.
