Berks Community Television (BCTV) is excited to introduce Daniela Silva, Steven Pastore, and Jeremiah Kemmerling as BCTV’s Spring 2023 interns.

Pastore hails from Chester Springs and is a senior at Kutztown University, studying Cinema Television Media. He joined BCTV after learning about internship opportunities through the University’s internship listings, aligning with his goal to one day launch his own production company.

“I’m into filming short documentaries, commercials, music videos, small talk shows, movies, and a couple of other projects,” Pastore said. “I saw BCTV does local projects so I thought that was pretty cool!”

Daniela Silva is a senior Communications student at Alvernia University. Originally from Brazil, Silva was motivated to move to the U.S. to explore different cultures. With plans to pursue a master’s degree in Business Administration in the States, she wanted an internship where she could expand her social media skills and engage with the community.

“BCTV caught my attention because of their dynamics of being open to the community to showcase their shows. It helps a lot of people from Berks County that have exciting projects. It’s also a friendly place with a great and helpful staff.”

Daniela runs a successful Instagram account with 1.6 million followers (@danicintra_). Her goal in life is to run her own company and “be able to employ and give opportunities to the most people I can.

College students gain practical, hands-on technical training and media experience with internships at Berks Community Television. The program includes working side-by-side with our staff to learn about camera and technical operations, audio/video components, and live studio programming, as well as practicing content curation, digital file management, creation of website and social media content, and participation in organization events.
