East Penn Manufacturing is proud to announce promotions within its executive leadership team.

Norbert Maleschitz has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Mr. Maleschitz will oversee the company’s daily operations that includes manufacturing, purchasing, distribution, and engineering. This will be in addition to his prior duties as Chief Technology Officer, managing East Penn’s further advancement of technology, innovation, and continuous improvement for the company’s products, processes, and manufacturing equipment. He will continue to report directly to Chris Pruitt, CEO/President.
Mr. Maleschitz has been integral to supporting research, development, and technological strategies – working directly with divisions across the organization to spur new growth and exciting developments. With this experience and his prior knowledge, Mr. Maleschitz will bring his success with innovation and continuous improvement to help further advance the efficiency and effectiveness of these additional operations that are now under his oversight.
Mr. Maleschitz most recently held the position of Chief Technology Officer and prior to that Senior Vice President of Technology and Innovation. He joined East Penn in 2018, bringing over 30 years of industry experience. In 2012, he was honored with the International Lead Award from the International Lead Association (ILA) for his contributions in battery design, production engineering, and quality assurance. Mr. Maleschitz has a Master’s Degree in Business Management and Information Management from Salzburg University of Applied Science in Austria and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Polytechnic University in Weiss, Austria.

Christy Weeber has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mrs. Weeber’s role will further focus on developing financial and corporate strategic priorities and risk management. Mrs. Weeber will continue to oversee our legal and IT departments, in addition to her current oversight of the financial aspects of the company including general accounting and finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, and costing. She will continue to report directly to Chris Pruitt, CEO/President.
Before becoming CFO, Ms. Weeber had served the company as the Senior Vice President of Finance. She has been instrumental in supporting and sustaining the company’s financial structure as well as developing new ways to bring efficiencies to its operations. She joined the company in 2011 as Manager of Internal Audit and has had extensive experience in auditing, research accounting, budgeting, and financial report preparation. Ms. Weeber previously worked for eleven years as Audit Senior Manager at one of the world’s largest accounting firms, KPMG LLP, specializing in manufacturing. She is a licensed CPA and a training and methodology instructor for accounting and auditing. Ms. Weeber earned a B.S. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University in 2000.

Pete Stanislawczyk has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. This newly created position will involve the oversight of all the Transportation Sales segments including: Original Equipment, Aftermarket, Private and Proprietary Brands, and Branch Operations; all Industrial segments including: Motive Power and Reserve Power; Wire, Cable, & Battery Accessories Sales and customer service for the transportation division. As East Penn continues to grow these areas, this added organizational structuring will even better position the company’s ability to address evolving customer needs across multiple divisions. He will continue to report directly to Chris Pruitt, CEO/President.
Mr. Stanislawczyk joined East Penn in 1992 and most recently held the positions of Sr. Vice President Transportation Sales and Diversified products and Group Vice President of Sales – Private & Proprietary Brands and Diversified products. Prior to these roles, he served as the Vice President of Sales – Aftermarket Programs, Director of Sales – Automotive Batteries and Diversified Products, Manager of Sales Programs and Pricing, and City Salesman.
Mr. Stanislawczyk earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Delaware.
