Houlahan Announces Reading Office Relocation for Constituent Services

Rep. Houlahan opens relocated office in Reading, PA.

Tuesday, Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) announced her Reading office is moving to a new location with an anticipated re-opening date of Wednesday, May 10th. Since 2019, Houlahan has had offices in both Reading and West Chester to best serve residents of Berks and Chester Counties. The new office will be located at 201 Penn Street, Suite 201 in Reading, PA and will be more centrally located for residents of the greater Reading area.

“My teams in Reading and West Chester do tremendous work helping our community on the ground in both Berks and Chester Counties. I’m excited the Reading team will be able to better serve Berks residents in this new space,” said Houlahan. “My goal is to be as accessible as possible to our community and this move will help us provide expanded constituent services. When I joined Congress, I promised the City of Reading and the surrounding Berks County area that I would fully serve them.  I’m thankful for my team’s time in City Hall but we have outgrown the space and moving our office to better serve the needs of our community is the right thing to do.”

The new space will be twice the size of the prior office and is in close proximity to Reading Area Community College, federal agencies such as Social Security and Internal Revenue Service, and a large parking garage. The building is also ADA accessible. The new office space will open for in-person visits on May 10th. Offices in West Chester and Washington D.C. will continue the current hours of operation.

Houlahan is an Air Force veteran, an engineer, a serial entrepreneur, an educator, and a nonprofit leader. She represents Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District, which encompasses Chester County and southern Berks County. She serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. She is the recipient of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award which “recognizes members who demonstrate the bipartisan leadership and constructive governing necessary to move our country forward” and the Congressional Management Foundation’s 2022 Democracy Award for best Constituent Services in Congress.
