Building a Better Boyertown to Host 3rd Annual Farmers Market

by Building a Better Boyertown

May 01, 2023

1st and 3rd Thursdays, June 1 – September 21, 2023 ● 4:00-8:00pm

The Boyertown Farmers Market will return this summer for its third season on the first and third Thursday evening of each month. The market will run June through September, featuring small local growers, producers, and artisans in the parking lot of the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles. Conveniently located just off South Reading Avenue, the market will provide a fun opportunity for visitors to stop by after work to enjoy live music and source some of their groceries and household goods from small businesses in their own neighborhood.

Last year BaBB enhanced market evenings by implementing themed markets and raffles, hosting food trucks or catering, and bringing new artisans into the fold. This included the most popular evening, Dog Days Market, which welcomed dog parents to bring their pooch for a costume contest, raffle baskets sponsored by Zimmers Pets, giveaways and more. Similarly, this year visitors are encouraged to come to each market, as they will vary slightly, including new and returning vendors, food trucks and themed nights.

“Our favorite part of the evening farmers market is the community,” says Assistant Manager Kim Evans. “Shoppers come by, not only to purchase products from their favored vendors, but also meet up with their friends to enjoy the evening and have a bite to eat. The children all know each other and play together when they meet up on market night.”
