Discovery Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that four dedicated team members have been promoted to their core leadership team. Each of these newly created positions will help to build on the strength and high caliber standards of the credit union.

Michelle Leone is being promoted from IT Manager to Vice President of Technology and Innovation. She has been with the credit union for 18 years and has seen Discovery grow and technology change on a daily basis. It’s imperative that the credit union be on the cutting edge of technology at all times. In this new position, Leone will ensure that members continue to have the best digital financial solutions and that employees have the tools they need to provide excellent member service.

Jennifer Pelker has the unique experience of working in various departments of the credit union over 21 years of service. She is a wealth of information and is being promoted from Process Innovation Manager to the Vice President of Member Experience. The member is by far the most important piece of the credit union puzzle and Pelker ensures that members are receiving world-class service in the branch, online, and in the community.

Amy Rohrbach will remain Chief Financial Officer, and has also been promoted to Executive Vice President. As an 18-year veteran of the credit union, Rohrbach has proved time and time again that she can lead Discovery toward organizational growth and strategic financial footing.

Kevin Unger, who originally joined the credit union team in 2015, was the credit union’s Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. He remains Vice President and has been promoted to Chief Risk Officer. This new position is critical in today’s environment where fraud, risk management, and compliance are more important than ever. Unger ensures that Discovery is a safe place for members and their money.

CEO of Discovery FCU, Michele Smith said, “I am so proud of our leadership team and the true passion and diligent work they put into the credit union. Together they have over six decades of experience with Discovery. The credit union could not be in better hands.”
